BIG CYPRESS, Fla. — Florida wildlife officials have confirmed the capture of the longest snake ever officially recorded in the state, and yes, it’s exactly as massive as it sounds. The record-breaking Burmese python, measuring an astonishing 19 feet long and weighing 125 pounds, was captured in July 2023 inside Big Cypress National Preserve by renowned python hunter Jake Waleri and his team.
