This cast is of red campion (Silene dioica), one of the earliest spring flowers and, here in Cornwall, something that can appear almost year-round. It’s familiar rather than rare, easy to overlook and structurally modest which makes it well suited to casting. The process slows me down and asks for a different kind of attention than printing.
